Location: Onsite in various locations including Fayetteville/Douglasville, GA, Boydton/Ashburn/Manassas, VA, Jackson, MS, Santa Clara/San Jose, CA

Job Summary:

Are you passionate about ensuring that mechanical systems perform to the highest standards? Join our dynamic team as a Support Mechanical Commissioning Agent (CxA). In this role, you will leverage your technical background and expertise in the commissioning process to serve as a vital third-party authority. You will systematically verify that mechanical systems are operating in alignment with design intent and meet the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and apply training documentation to enhance daily activities.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, engineers of record, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Acquire knowledge of the commissioning (Cx) process to effectively implement procedures in the field.
  • Develop Cx procedures utilizing provided templates.
  • Familiarize yourself with testing durations to assist project management in creating the commissioning schedule.
  • Learn to develop load bank plans for comprehensive testing of mechanical systems.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) Verification Plan.
  • Perform TAB Verification as directed and deploy data loggers for accurate data collection.
  • Execute functional testing alongside team members, documenting daily onsite testing logs.
  • Conduct infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, meticulously recording data in spreadsheets and marking IR photos for mechanical equipment.
  • Collaborate in the development of Inspection and Start-Up (IST) Reports, which will include data analytics in Excel format.

Qualifications:

  • Work Experience: Open to entry-level candidates; relevant experience is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent field experience preferred.
  • Training: None required; eagerness to learn is essential.
  • Skills: A general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems; military experience is advantageous.
  • Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts including percentages and proportions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand and convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively in teams.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to travel to project sites 50-75% of the time.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • You will need a dedicated home office for administrative tasks and must be able to report onsite when testing or inspections are scheduled.
  • The role involves a travel rotation of three weeks onsite followed by one week of remote work. For local candidates, daily onsite work is required.
  • Physical activities include standing for extended periods, navigating rugged and unstable environments, and working in various weather conditions.
  • The role may occasionally require climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, or crawling.
  • Ability to carry testing equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
