Job Title: Project Manager - Commissioning & Mission Critical Environments

Location: Remote / Travel Required

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project scope of work and pricing strategies to ensure alignment with client needs.
  • Serve as the primary communication facilitator between clients and project personnel.
  • Assess and establish manpower requirements for each project, ensuring resources are effectively aligned with project goals.
  • Create and implement commissioning plans while maintaining project schedules and timelines for all deliverables.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure completion within defined timelines.
  • Organize and maintain all project-related documentation in an accessible project folder, collaborating with clients, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and communicate requirements to the project team.
  • Lead project meetings, including punch list discussions, ensuring thorough documentation through meeting minutes.
  • Collaborate with testing engineers to manage punch list items effectively.
  • Review and analyze reporting requirements to guarantee compliance and quality.
  • Monitor project budgets to ensure financial profitability and efficiency, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Utilize Smartsheet to develop and actively manage project plans, driving better outcomes and margins.
  • Provide accurate project forecasts for revenue projections.
  • Use Ajera software for tracking project status and generating invoices.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in project management, specifically in commissioning or mission-critical environments.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Military experience is considered an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Familiarity with Smartsheet and Ajera is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting principles.
  • Math Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as percentages and proportions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of simplifying complex instructions for diverse audiences.
  • Personal Traits: Organized, proactive, responsive, and meticulous in all aspects of work.
  • Home Office Setup: Must have a dedicated and functional home office environment for remote work, with the capability to travel to project sites as needed.
