Support Mechanical Commissioning Agent

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Support Mechanical Commissioning Agent (CxA) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your technical background and expertise in the commissioning process to ensure that mechanical systems operate as intended, in strict alignment with the project design and Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). As a vital third-party authority, your systematic verification of mechanical systems will help maintain the highest quality standards throughout the commissioning phases.

This is an onsite position, requiring your presence during testing and inspections, where you will collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project success. Candidates must be local to the following regions: Fayetteville/Douglasville, GA; Boydton/Ashburn, or Manassas, VA; Jackson, MS; Santa Clara/San Jose, CA.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and integrate technical documentation into daily activities to optimize the commissioning process
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, engineers of record, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of the Cx process through hands-on experience in the field
- Utilize templates to develop commissioning procedures tailored to project needs
- Collaborate with project managers to understand testing durations and assist in creating Cx schedules
- Contribute to developing load bank plans for comprehensive mechanical systems testing
- Support the execution and documentation of TAB (Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing) Verification as required
- Deploy data loggers for essential data collection, following established direction
- Carry out functional testing efficiently, working alongside team members
- Maintain a daily onsite testing log to accurately document activities and findings
- Conduct infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, ensuring precise data recording
- Mark IR photos accordingly for mechanical equipment, facilitating effective reporting
- Assist in preparing IST Reports that include organized Excel charts of the collected data

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience: No specific prior work experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical building systems is a plus
- Military experience is valued and can enhance your application
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office programs
- Proficient in mathematical calculations, including percentages and proportions
- Excellent communication skills—capable of following instructions and clearly conveying information
- Strong organizational abilities with a capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to project sites, approximately 50-75% of the time

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- A dedicated home office optimized for your daily responsibilities is required
- Frequent travel to various work sites may be necessary, incorporating a rotation of three weeks onsite followed by one week of remote work
- Local candidates will be expected to work onsite as needed
- Physical demands include the ability to perform strenuous activities, standing for extended periods, moving in challenging conditions, and occasionally climbing ladders or stooping
- Must be able to carry test equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
