Job Title: Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA)

Location: Various Locations – Mesa/Phoenix, AZ; Los Lunas, NM; Charleston, SC; New Albany, OH

Job Summary:

As a Support Electrical Commissioning Agent, you will leverage your technical background and commissioning expertise to systematically verify that electrical systems adhere to design specifications and meet the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). You will serve as a trusted third-party authority in the commissioning process, implementing verification techniques and conducting functional performance testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and apply training documentation to enhance onsite performance.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, engineers of record, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Learn and implement the commissioning process effectively in the field.
  • Develop commissioning procedures using standardized templates.
  • Understand project load bank requirements and devise comprehensive commissioning plans.
  • Assist in connecting Power Quality Measurement (PQM) test equipment across various data center mechanisms.
  • Operate PQM test equipment under supervision to perform functional testing.
  • Maintain an onsite testing log documenting daily activities and findings.
  • Conduct infrared (IR) scanning and analysis; record and organize data in spreadsheets.
  • Capture and mark IR photographs for reporting purposes.
  • Assist with compiling and developing project reports.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent field experience preferred.
  • Experience: No prior experience is required, but a general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is advantageous.
  • Military experience will be considered a strong plus.
  • Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs is essential.
  • Mathematics Skills: Capability to perform calculations involving percentages and proportions.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to understand instructions and convey information in a clear manner.
  • Organizational skills and dependability to manage tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites 50-75% of the time and adapt to changing project demands.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • A dedicated home office is essential for daily responsibilities.
  • Must be able to travel to work sites as required; travel rotation will typically be 3 weeks onsite followed by 1 week of remote work.
  • Regular communication with diverse individuals is necessary, requiring the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Roles may involve strenuous physical activity, including standing for extended periods, moving in rugged conditions, and utilizing equipment that may exceed 30-50 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders and navigating through challenging environments will be required.
