Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA), you will:
- Utilize training documentation effectively in daily activities to enhance performance.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with clients, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to promote seamless collaboration.
- Learn the commissioning process and implement best practices in the field.
- Develop commissioning procedures aligned with templates to standardize processes.
- Evaluate load bank requirements to formulate comprehensive testing plans based on project specifications, size, and connection needs.
- Collaborate with team members to connect and operate Power Quality Monitoring (PQM) test equipment on various types of data center equipment.
- Perform functional testing while recording and documenting all findings in a daily onsite testing log.
- Conduct infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, making detailed records in spreadsheets and marking IR photos for further evaluation.
- Assist in the creation of comprehensive commissioning reports, capturing essential data and insights.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
- Work Experience: While no prior experience is required, relevant military experience is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: A general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is essential.
- Computer Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office applications to facilitate documentation and reporting.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as percentages and proportions is necessary.
- Communication Skills: Excellent understanding of instructions and the ability to clearly convey information.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Availability: Willingness to travel to project sites 50-75% of the time is a must.
