Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA)

Location: Various Locations including Mesa/Phoenix, AZ; Los Lunas, NM; Charleston, SC; and New Albany, OH

Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your technical background and commissioning expertise to ensure electrical systems are operating in alignment with the design intent and Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). This position plays a critical role as a third-party authority, conducting systematic verifications and performance tests throughout all five levels of commissioning as per ASHRAE Guideline 0.

You will be required to work on-site daily during scheduled testing or inspections, with travel expected to various project sites.

Key Responsibilities: - Review and apply available training documentation to enhance daily operations. - Communicate effectively, confidently, and professionally with Clients, Engineers of Record, General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors. - Learn and implement the commissioning process in the field. - Develop commissioning procedures using established templates. - Understand load bank requirements and contribute to comprehensive project planning, including size, quantity, and special connection specifications. - Collaborate with the team to connect Performance Quality Measurement (PQM) test equipment to various data center equipment under supervision. - Execute functional testing alongside team members and maintain detailed daily onsite testing logs. - Perform infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, documenting findings in spreadsheets. - Record and analyze PQM data, including capturing screenshots from PQM software. - Assist in the preparation and development of commissioning reports.

Qualifications: - Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred. - Experience: No prior work experience is required; however, a general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is beneficial. Military experience is a plus. - Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. - Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations including percentages and proportions. - Communication Skills: Strong ability to understand and convey information clearly and effectively. - Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational capabilities complemented by leadership attributes. - Work Style: Must be able to work effectively from home while being willing to travel to project sites 50-75% of the time.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands: - A dedicated home office is necessary, ensuring a conducive environment for daily responsibilities. - This role requires physical readiness to move about work areas and travel to worksites as dictated by project demands. - Expect a work rotation of three weeks on-site followed by one week of remote work, subject to changes based on project needs. - Frequent physical activity is required, including standing for extended periods, maneuvering in varied conditions, and operating tools or controls that may not be visible. - Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and ability to carry test equipment weighing between 30-50 pounds.
