Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA)

Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically proficient Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will utilize your extensive knowledge of the commissioning process, functional performance testing, and operations and maintenance (O&M) practices to ensure that electrical systems operate according to the design intent and the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). As a third-party authority, you will engage in systematic verification across all five levels of commissioning, adhering to ASHRAE Guideline 0. This position requires daily onsite work whenever testing or inspections are scheduled.

Key Responsibilities: - Review and apply available training documentation to enhance daily operational activities. - Communicate clearly and professionally with a variety of stakeholders, including Clients, Engineers of Record, General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors. - Learn and implement the commissioning process effectively in the field. - Develop and refine commissioning procedures using established templates. - Assess and understand load bank requirements to formulate comprehensive plans for projects. - Collaborate with team members to connect PQM testing equipment to various types of data center equipment. - Operate PQM test equipment (under supervision) to ensure accurate testing and data collection. - Execute functional testing and maintain an organized daily onsite testing log. - Conduct infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, accurately recording data in spreadsheets and marking IR photos. - Capture and document PQM data, including taking screenshots from the PQM software. - Assist in the development of detailed reports based on collected test data.

Requirements: - Education: A four-year college degree or equivalent field experience is required. - Work experience: No prior experience is necessary, although a general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is beneficial. - Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. - Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations involving percentages and proportions. - Communication Skills: Must be capable of understanding instructions and conveying information clearly. - Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks. - Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated initiative and the capacity to follow direction effectively. - Additional Qualification: Military experience is a plus.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands: - A dedicated home office setup conducive to daily responsibilities is required. - Daily travel to worksites is expected, with a rotation of three weeks onsite followed by one week of remote work. - Local candidates will be required to perform onsite work regularly. - The role entails frequent strenuous physical activity, including standing for extended periods, moving in rugged conditions, and working in diverse weather conditions. - There may be occasions when you need to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, or crawl. - Ability to carry test equipment weighing between 30 to 50 pounds is essential.
