Job Title: Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA)

Location: Onsite in Mesa/Phoenix, AZ; Los Lunas, NM; Charleston, SC; New Albany, OH (Local Candidates Preferred)

Overview:

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a technical background and a passion for ensuring systems meet design specifications? Join our team as a Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA), where you will be responsible for systematically verifying that electrical systems are functioning in line with the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). This role provides an exciting opportunity to engage in the commissioning process across various projects, all while working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough review of training documentation and effectively apply knowledge to daily activities.
  • Clearly and confidently communicate with clients, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Learn and implement the commissioning process in the field, developing commissioning procedures using established templates.
  • Work alongside project management to understand testing durations and assist with commissioning schedule development.
  • Determine load bank requirements and collaboratively devise plans for comprehensive project execution.
  • Assist with connecting and operating PQM test equipment on various data center equipment under supervision.
  • Execute functional testing in conjunction with team members and maintain daily onsite testing logs.
  • Perform infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, recording data in spreadsheets and marking IR photos accurately.
  • Capture PQM data and screenshots from related software for report development.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A four-year college degree or equivalent field experience is preferred.
  • No previous work experience is required, but a general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is advantageous.
  • Military experience is considered a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate percentages and proportions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a knack for conveying information clearly and concisely.
  • Leadership abilities and a positive attitude toward teamwork and collaboration.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Candidates must maintain a dedicated home office conducive to daily responsibilities.
  • Expect a travel rotation of three weeks onsite and one week working from home.
  • Local candidates to job sites are required to be onsite regularly.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, moving in rugged or unstable conditions, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying test equipment weighing between 30 to 50 pounds, and occasionally climb ladders or perform tasks requiring physical flexibility.
