Position Summary: As a Support Mechanical Commissioning Agent (CxA), you will play a vital role in validating that mechanical systems operate in alignment with design specifications and the Owner's Project Requirements (OPR). Your expertise in commissioning processes and functional performance testing will help guarantee that systems are commissioned effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: - Review and apply training documentation to streamline daily activities. - Communicate confidently and professionally with clients, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors. - Acquire knowledge of the commissioning process to effectively implement it in the field. - Develop commissioning procedures using established templates. - Collaborate with project management to create scheduling based on testing durations. - Assist in creating load bank plans for integrated mechanical system testing. - Participate in the development of the Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) Verification plan and conduct TAB Verification as directed. - Deploy data loggers for required data collection and execute functional testing alongside team members. - Maintain a daily onsite testing log to accurately capture testing activities. - Perform infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, documenting findings in spreadsheets, and labeling IR photographs of mechanical equipment. - Contribute to the development of an Inspection and Testing (IST) Report, including creating charts with collected data.
Qualifications: - Education: A 4-year college degree or equivalent field experience is preferred. - Experience: No prior work experience required, but understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is advantageous. - Skills: Basic computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office. Strong mathematical abilities, including the ability to calculate percentages and proportions. - Communication: Capable of understanding complex instructions and conveying information clearly to others. - Organizational Skills: Exceptional aptitude for organization and leadership, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. - Technical Capacity: Must be comfortable working from home with the willingness to travel to project sites 50-75% of the time.
