Job Title: QA/QC Inspector I

Location: Various Locations (with travel requirements)

Join our team as a QA/QC Inspector I, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of electrical and mechanical components during construction projects in mission-critical environments. Key Responsibilities: - Review and interpret essential documents, including safety rules, equipment and site drawings, specifications, and operating procedures. - Conduct and meticulously record results of inspections, examinations, and tests on various components. - Utilize the necessary tools and equipment for effective quality control and assurance. - Ensure that measuring and testing equipment is in optimal condition before use. - Compose detailed reports and correspondence, clearly communicating findings and recommendations. - Present information and findings to groups, including clients and partner personnel, with professionalism. - Coordinate daily activities and schedules with internal and external teams for smooth operations. - Evaluate QA/QC plans, schedules, and reports for accuracy and compliance. - Set up and oversee inspections, examinations, and tests according to established procedures.

Requirements: - Education & Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent (GED) plus 2 months of relevant experience in inspection, examination, or testing activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. - Alternatively, completion of college-level coursework leading to an Associate Degree in a related field, with 3-5 years of construction and mission-critical experience preferred, supplemented by 1 month of relevant inspection experience.

  • Skills & Qualifications:
  • Visual acuity to meet Snellen fraction threshold of at least 20/30 for near and far vision, with the ability to distinguish colors and contrasts in testing.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is advantageous.
  • Military experience will be considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in Smartsheet and Ajera being a definite advantage.
  • Strong mathematical skills for budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to calculate percentages and proportions.
  • Excellent communication skills for oral and written instructions, with a polished and professional approach.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities, adeptness in problem-solving, and leadership qualities.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands: - A dedicated home office setup conducive to daily responsibilities is required. - Expect to travel frequently to various job sites; the travel schedule typically consists of 3 weeks on-site followed by 1 week of remote work. - If residing locally (within approximately 50 miles of a site), you will be expected to work on-site as needed. - Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods, moving over uneven terrain, working in adverse weather conditions, and carrying test equipment up to 30 pounds. - Flexibility in handling strenuous physical activities and ability to follow verbal and written instructions is essential.
