QA/QC Inspector I

Location: Remote with travel to construction sites as needed

Job Summary: Are you an attentive individual passionate about maintaining quality standards in construction? We are seeking a QA/QC Inspector I to join our team in overseeing inspections, examinations, and tests of electrical and mechanical components during mission-critical construction projects. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret crucial documents including safety guidelines, site drawings, specifications, and operating instructions. - Perform and record inspection results, examinations, and tests to uphold quality assurance. - Utilize a variety of tools and equipment necessary for effective quality control operations. - Ensure measuring and test equipment is calibrated and in proper working condition. - Draft clear reports and communicate findings effectively to both internal teams and external clients. - Facilitate discussions and presentations before groups of customers or employees from partner organizations. - Coordinate daily activities with internal and external personnel to ensure smooth operations. - Review QA/QC plans, schedules, and progress reports, providing insights to enhance project outcomes. - Establish inspection schedules and execute examinations based on pre-defined procedures.

Requirements: - Educational Background: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with 2 months of experience in inspection or testing activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. - Preferred Background: Completion of college-level coursework leading to an Associate Degree in Project Management or a related field, along with 3-5 years of experience in construction, particularly in mission-critical environments. - Visual Acuity: Ability to see at least 20/30 with one eye (near and far vision), along with color distinction and contrast recognition. - Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and Ajera software is a plus; budgeting and forecasting experience is advantageous. - Math Skills: Proficient in calculating figures such as percentages and proportions. - Communication Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for delivering clear oral and written instructions; strong organizational aptitude is essential.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands: - Must have a dedicated home office conducive to daily work responsibilities. - Ability to navigate and work at construction sites, subject to physical exertion. - Required to stand for extended periods, manage rugged conditions, and work in various weather scenarios. - Competence in performing manual activities, including handling tools and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. - May occasionally require the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
