Job Summary:

Are you ready to embark on an exciting career that leverages your technical expertise in the commissioning process? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will become a pivotal third-party authority, responsible for systematically verifying that electrical systems perform as intended, aligning with design specifications and the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). Your contributions will ensure the successful implementation of commissioning processes across multiple project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and effectively apply training documentation to optimize daily activities.
  • Establish strong communication channels with Clients, Engineers of Record, General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the commissioning (Cx) process to implement it effectively in the field.
  • Develop Cx procedures utilizing established templates and guidelines.
  • Understand and manage load bank requirements, including developing comprehensive plans for project specifications and needs.
  • Assist in connecting and operating Power Quality Measurement (PQM) test equipment across various data center devices, with guidance.
  • Execute functional testing with collaboration from team members, documenting all activities diligently.
  • Maintain a detailed onsite testing log and record crucial data, including infrared (IR) scanning results and PQM readings, using spreadsheets.
  • Capture and compile essential screenshots and data for report development.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; no prior work experience required.
  • Training: None mandatory but a keen interest in learning is essential.
  • Knowledge: General understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems; military experience is considered an asset.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Math Skills: Strong capability to calculate figures, percentages, and proportions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand and convey instructions clearly and effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to take initiative and guide team efforts.
  • Work Flexibility: Ability to work from home while traveling to project sites 50-75% of the time.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Must have a dedicated home office environment suitable for daily responsibilities.
  • Frequent travel to various worksites is expected; the rotation typically involves three weeks onsite followed by one week of remote work.
  • Onsite work is required if you are local to a job site, adaptable to client and business demands.
  • Capability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • The role requires physical stamina, including standing for lengthy periods, navigating rugged terrains, and working under various weather conditions.
  • May involve the movement and handling of testing equipment weighing between 30-50 pounds, as well as occasional ladder climbing and other physical activities.
