Office Manager / Bookkeeper - Lorton, VA - Controls Company & Electrical Install

POSITON:
  • Office Manager / Bookkeeper
LOCATION:
  • Lorton, VA
    • Mix of Office and some Work-From-Home
REQUIREMENTS / IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Experience with QuickBooks and MS Office: Word, Excel, etc
  • Prior experience in as a Bookkeeper, Office Manager, Administrator, etc
  • Previous industry experience in Construction, HVAC Mechanical, or Building Automation
  • Eager attitude & fast learner
  • Can provide references
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in Billing – reconcile bank and various other accounts
  • Process AP and AR (reach out to customers to follow-up on invoices and track payments coming in)
  • Verify, allocate, and post transactions
  • Set-up vendors and maintain a positive vendor relationship
  • Procure office-related materials
  • Provide timely responses to clients receipts
  • “Provide support to managers and employees”
  • Greet customers with an up-beat attitude
  • Participate in events
  • Phone Support staff
  • Assisting in daily office needs
ABOUT COMPANY:
  • Company Size: about 25 Employees
  • Established about 35+ years ago; has been doing experience for about 20 years
  • Works Directly with the Owner and does a lot of Plan & Spec work (they get invited to bid and get spec our projects)
  • Services:
    • Mix of Retrofit, Services, and Design-Build/New Construction
    • Most projects consist of install
  • Clientele:
    • Working a lot with various School Districts
    • 1/3 of Revenue comes from Government Defense Work: Military Bases, U.S. Facilities
    • Class-A Commercial Buildings
    • Large Residential Complexes
OFFERED:
  • 401K Employer Contribution (Company contributes 3% even if the employee does not. Match 50% up to 6%)
