Electrical Engineering Manager – Critical Facilities Site – Large Campus
LOCATION:
Large Campus in Pasadena, CA – Mission Critical Facility
3 million sqaure feet and 200+ buildings
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experienced in managing a team and has ability to be technical
Experienced in managing a Medium Voltage Infrastructure
Experienced in mission critical facilities such as Data Centers or sites that have Emergency Power
PLUS – experience in environments with Building Managements Systems and Electrical HVAC experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintaining/operating 2 Medium Voltage electrical facilities of around 15,000+ volts
Predominantly responsible for managing 2 large facilities
(also need to be present for coordinated outages in other buildings on the campus about 20 times a year; will be the site’s point-of-contact for all electrical banks and substations)
Manage the Associate Electrical Engineering Manager and provide a second-level oversite of 11 direct reports
Available during work hours and off-hours for internal and customer/external support
Deliver and develop on-boarding/training materials for new and existing staff members
Develop Method of Procedures for power distribution and power switching
Ensures daily preventative maintenance/repairs, coordinates scheduled outages with restoration
Provide updates on campus field activities
Identify inefficiencies or deficiencies and propose operational improvements
