PV/Solar Project Manager - Large Energy/Mechanical company - Irvine, CA

The company has $40+ million in backlog of large commercial solar projects and is making an effort to expand the PV/Solar team.

This position has remote-flexibility if someone needs it, and the projects are predominantly in Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire.

POSITION:

• PV/Solar Project Manager – Large Commercial Projects
  • REMOTE-Flexibility
  • Project Sizes range: $500,000 to $20 million

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior experience Project Managing Commercial Solar projects 
• Familiar with how EPC companies do Solar Design-Build (EPC Company is an Engineering, Procurement, Construction company) 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for managing ENTIRE projects (leading, hit milestones/deliverables, report progress, check on progress)
• Manage various subcontractors (currently outsourcing field crews for installation)
• Create Project Schedules
• Financial Forecasting: cost estimation, project budgeting, scope of work, etc 
• Work with internal Construction Managers/Field Supervisors
• Visit project sites to check in on status (about once a week)
• Follow-up on RFIs from EPC partners for project drawings and specs.
• Perform project Quality Control when reviewing work from Subcontractors; QA/QC work
• Liaison between the customers and contractors 
• Ensure project safety and compliance 
• Project Representative when speaking to Investors, Grid Operators, and Public Officials
